The column is titled "Education, dedication, planning: Preventing infection in the ASC." Phenelle is one of several industry experts that provide best practices and tips for infection prevention in the ASC setting.

Phenelle offers insight on a number of issues, including the importance of monitoring and documenting temperature, humidity and room pressures; the need for a separate decontamination or "dirty room" and a "clean room"; and limiting the use of immediate-use steam sterilization.
